Hi Everybody, my name is Esther, a health and wellness enthusiast living in Vietnam with my family for the past 5 years. I discovered Intermittent fasting over a year ago in May 2019 and since then, have lost over 54 pounds.
Because of this change, I’ve had a lot of friends and acquaintances asking me how i got here and how they too can achieve the same benefits of IF for a healther lifetyle.
Background
My first real battle with weight was after the birth of my first child. I’d gained a lot of baby weight and at the time it was “okay” because I needed to eat to breastfeed my child; but this also built a difficult relationship with food. A year later I decided I’d focus on my body and spent a lot of money on quick weight loss methods, p'ills and diets and yes they did work but shortly after I found out I was pregnant with my second child so i held off.
I was so obsessed with he weight I’d gained after he was born that in the long run it affected my sons relationship with breast feeding as I didn’t have enough milk from trying to diet and breastfeed at the same time. he was off after only 3 months. one of my biggest regrets at the time was that i felt like a horrible mother for denying him the one thing my daughter enjoyed for 18 months.
Fast forward to him at 6months, we moved to Vietnam and oh Boy! it was a testing time for me. A young mother of 2 kids under 3, a black woman in a country were it literary took me about 6 weeks before i encountered my first black person, unemployed, no nanny, no friends, language barrier, total cultural shock… I resorted to eating as a stress relief. i arrived into this country at 68kgs which at the time was a total weight loss achievement though still far from my goal weight to a whooping 87.2 kg by the time I decided enough was enough 4 years later.
After tons of research, I wanted to try something that wasn’t going to break the bank, give myself a realistic goal and timeline and still get me to where I longed to be. As i write this, I’m currently weighing 62kgs with a target weight goal of 60 kg which when achieved, will put me back to my pre-babies weight.
I did it and so can you!
Why You?!
I started Femfast studio to inspire women, just like me that have been battling weight for years, spent tonnes of money on quick weight-loss methods and literary lived a stressful, expensive yo-yo diet lifestyle with short lived results. I’m here to inspire, motivate and share tips on how you can get started and achieve a slimmer healthier you! With the right mindset and determination, intermittent fasting is a very doable lifestyle. Femfast studio is for women that are fed up and have had just about enough judgement and criticism on how they look and want to make a real feel good change.
I’d like to make it clear that I am not a doctor or a licenced health professional. I’m a health enthusiast that has found her way into coaching women that would like to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. That said, fasting isn’t for everybody if you’re under 18, pregnant, have eating disorders, with type 1 diabetes or any other health concerns, please do not attempt to fast and consult your doctor before embarking on a fasting lifestyle.
